The Goldsmiths’ Company, Foster Lane, EC2V 6BN
Huguenot Goldsmiths were attracted to Britain as a result of religious persecution but also for economic reasons. Initially London Goldsmiths objected to this unwelcomed competition and presented a series of petitions against the Huguenots to the Goldsmiths’ Company. The Library has over 8,000 books and 15,000 images and other archives and welcomes all researchers.Â
