Huguenots of Spitalfields is a small independent charity dedicated to advancing and promoting knowledge of the culture and legacy of this significant group of French Protestant refugees who settled in the area in the late Seventeenth Century. Through a programme of talks, tours and events, we aim to highlight the lasting contribution made by this community and situate it in the rich history of immigration to the East End.

Make a donation

Huguenots of Spitalfields relies on the generosity of individuals, companies, organisations and grant-giving bodies to support our work. We are currently facing the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent loss of income from our core activities. Your support has never been more important and we are grateful for whatever you are able to offer through buying tickets to our walks, talks and events or by making a donation of any size so that we can continue to celebrate the lives and heritage of our first refugees.

Remember Huguenots of Spitalfields in your will

Another way in which you can help is to remember Huguenots of Spitalfields with a gift in your Will. However large or small, all legacies are gratefully received and go towards engaging the next generation with the important contribution to British culture made by our first refugees. For further information on leaving gifts to a charity in your will visit: https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/leaving-gifts-to-charity-in-your-will
