Following a meeting to strengthen our relationship with the Huguenots of Spitalfields and the Museum of London, we are delighted to announce that the Museum of London is holding an online event entitled ‘Shaping the City: History of the Huguenots’ to celebrate Refugee Week 2020.
The event is on the 15th-19th June and will include a series of short videos introduced by Dr Tessa Murdoch (Research Curator at the V&A and Getty Rothschild Fellow 2019) and will also feature Dr Dinah Winch (Director of the Huguenot Museum). This series of videos will take you on a whistle-stop tour discussing the importance of refugees throughout London’s history, from the Huguenots of Spitalfields arriving in the 16th Century to modern refugees, reshaping London today.
We warmly appreciate all the support and help that you give to the Huguenots of Spitalfields Charity.
