Hello Huguenot Friends,
We have two special events that may interest you:
Walk & Draw with Piero D’Angelo, Saturday 17th August 2019
Whether you’re a complete beginner or professional artist, take this opportunity to explore and draw Spitalfields with art teacher Piero D’Angelo - a magical and hugely rewarding experience. If you’re fascinated by the architecture of Spitalfields, Piero will inspire you to interpret the buildings in a new way. Take inspiration from places where the Huguenots lived and worked, such as the houses in Fournier, Princelet and Wilkes Streets, and hear their story of migration. Charlie’s efforts to capture the i-Goat, drawn blind and with her left-hand, was just one of the many fun exercises created in minutes!
Meet outside Christ Church, Spitalfields at 11am this Saturday. Charlie will have all the materials you require for a really fun session. Email info@huguenotsofspitalfields.org to let us know if you can attend. Donation: £20.
Huguenot Ancestry Workshop with Dr Kathy Chater, Saturday 28th September 2019
Thinking of starting to investigate your Huguenot ancestry or having difficulties and don’t know where next to look? Attend our dedicated workshop to help you on your way. We have limited numbers so do book early!
If you want to join the session at Townhouse, 5 Fournier Street, Spitalfields E1 6QE on Saturday 28th September 2019 from 11.30am to 1.30pm, email info@huguenotsofspitalfields.org to reserve a space. Price: £20 including tea/coffee and one of Fiona Atkins’s delicious Townhouse cakes. |
