Our walk includes some fascinating Huguenot heritage including seeing the weavers houses that stand on the River Stour. When the Huguenot refugees were welcomed by Elizabeth I she gave them right to trade in Canterbury. She also offered them a special place of worship in the Cathedral and a Huguenot chapel is still there today.
