The human remains excavated from the crypt of Christ Church Spitalfields form one of the most important collections in the world. Nearly 400 (out of over 900) skeletons removed were named individuals. The original project collated a huge amount of information about individual lives and social circumstances which make the collection invaluable to the on-going research still undertaken by Natural History Museum’s own and international researchers today.
